From the evergreen landscapes of the Pacific Northwest to the heart of the deep South, Gail Thompson founder, CEO, and creative force behind Junebug’s® Sauce Inc. have turned legacy into flavor and flavor into connection.

“Inspired by my deep Louisiana ties, I expanded Junebug’s® to bring heritage and culture together in a tasty way.”

Born in Georgia and seasoned by Seattle, Gail’s story is one of faith, family, and flavor. After a thirty-year career in Human Resources, she found herself carrying forward a beloved piece of her late husband Carl’s legacy, the signature sauce created at their Seattle restaurant, Thompson’s Point of View. When the restaurant closed in 2011, loyal customers never stopped calling, asking for “that sauce.”

“Two years after Carl passed and the restaurant closed, I was still getting calls from customers looking for our sauce… It took me all that time to realize I should be doing something more with the ‘Hallelu-jah! Sauce.’”

And with that realization, Junebug’s® Sauce Inc. was born.

“It’s a Southern tradition to call juniors ‘Junebug.’ Since my late husband Carl was a Jr., I named the company after him. It’s my way of keeping his memory and the joy he brought to others alive.”

Junebug’s® is more than a sauce company; it’s a celebration of heritage, innovation, family, culture, and community. Each bottle represents a legacy of Southern Creole flavor infused with a modern Asian twist, crafted to elevate every meal through drizzling, dipping, marinating, and more.

Under Gail’s leadership, Junebug’s® has become a platform for cultural storytelling, youth mentorship, and entrepreneurial growth. The company collaborates with local schools, business partners, and community organizations to create opportunities that empower the next generation of
leaders.

“We’re not called the Swiss Army Knife in a Bottle for nothing,” Gail says with a smile. “Our sauces do more than flavor food, they spark connection, conversation, and community.”
